2. How to apply for a work permit?

Step 1: Request approval for using foreign workers
The employer is required to apply for approval of using foreign workers at least 30 days before the expected start date of the foreign worker at the company. The essential documents include:
- Registration form for employing foreign workers
- A copy of the business registration.
- Letter of attorney if the submitter is not the enterprise’s legal representative.
After that, these documents can be applied in two ways:
- Send directly to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs or the People’s Committee of the province where the foreign worker is expected to work.
- Send online via http://dvc.vieclamvietnam.gov.vn.
